The Franciscan Earth Literacy Center is an environmental education center and demonstration facility dedicated to promote the appreciation of nature and encourage sustainable living practices. The center is a space for indoor and outdoor learning experiences.

We offer “hands-on” educational opportunities through our school field trips, scout programs, summer camps and Seeds of Hope Farm. Our programs are designed to help all ages understand the precious balance of nature.

In 2005 FELC started Seeds of Hope Farm as a new environmental education effort designed to teach and model for others the importance of sustainable agricultural methods and how these practices lead to a healthy environment and a healthy food system.

The St. Francis Spirituality Center is a harbor for prayer, rest and relaxation located on the beautiful St. Francis campus. The renewal center is open to all faiths and sponsors retreat programs as well as hosting groups. This Franciscan retreat center provides a space of peace, where body, mind and spirit can be nourished with prayer, quiet and beauty.

The Franciscan Center offers retreats of various lengths, days of reflection, Scripture study and discussions as well as individual spiritual direction. Staff members will also travel to you to share retreat programs on your grounds. All are welcome. Come. Gentle your body and spirit while resting in God's beauty and peace.

St. Francis Senior Ministries provides housing and healthcare choices for seniors. St. Francis offers independent living for seniors at the Villas & Elizabeth Schaefer Apartments.

St. Francis also offers many levels of care at our Nursing Home, including Assisted Living, Respite Care, Rehabilitation Services, intermediate nursing care, skilled nursing care and the Chiara Center that offers care for those affected with Alzheimer’s. All facilities are located on the beautiful grounds of the Sisters of St. Francis in Tiffin, OH.
